Acoustics guitar
An acoustic guitar is a guitar that uses only an acoustic sound board. This guitar don't have any amplifier to raise the volume of the sound so that the function of the hole in the middle of the guitar body. So this is the tips to choose the good guitar especially when looking for the quality of the sound.
1. Generally, you should check the sound system and its quality.
2. Listen to the amplified sound - you can do this best if you connect the guitar to a special amplifier for acoustic guitars. Compare the sound of several acoustic guitars and choose the one you like best.
3. Check the feedback when you play low bass tones and when you turn up the volume. It can later be very disappointing if you have to put up with nasty sounds on stage or during practice sessions.
4. Compare the volume between the various strings, especially if an equaliser is not part of the sound system that comes with the guitar.
Electric guitar
Visually with acoustic guitar except electric guitar is a solid-body instrument and thinner. It has no sound box and no vibrating soundboard. All part of the body is just the same like acoustic guitar which consist fret, strings, nut, slight long fret board but no hole at the middle. The tuning pegs are mechanical screws. An electrical pickup is positioned under the strings near the bridge and turns the vibrations of the strings into electrical impulses that are sent to an amplifier. A 1/4" plug in the body of the instrument is used to connect to the amplifier.
sape'
Proudly present Borneo stringed instrument that same function like guitar called sape’. But sape’ do not play like how we play guitar but we play it like a lead guitar which we only press one by one the strings on the fret board. It produces harmony and peaceful sound because that the way it made for. Sape’ are play on a gawai dayak festival along with the ngajat dance.
Bass
Stringed instrument played primarily with the fingers or thumb (by fingering, slapping, popping, tapping, or thumping), or by using a pick. Visually like usual guitar but with a longer neck and scale length, only have 4 strings (sometimes 5) and the strings is not same like what usual guitar have. Bass is usually tuned the same as the double bass, which corresponds to pitches one octave lower than the four lower strings of a guitar( E,A D,G chord).
Ukulele
Ukulele is slightly different from the usual guitar in term of size especially and the pitch is high then acoustic guitar. Ukulele small guitar consist with only 4 strings made from nylon. The ukulele originated in the 19th century as a Hawaiian interpretation of the Cavaquinho or Braguinha and the rajao, small guitar-like instruments taken to Hawaii by Portuguese immigrants. It gained great popularity elsewhere in the United States during the early 20th century, and from there spread internationally.
